I ran in to this rather peculiar issue on my bosses computer where she couldn’t view images in Windows Photo viewer. The application just sits and hangs without an error message.
After trawling the internet for quite sometime and trying the various fixes, the solution turns out to be a missing .icm (color space file) from C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color\
The one you need is called “sRGB Color Space Profile.icm”. I did a quick trawl of the hard disk and found one in “C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoftwindows-icm-profiles_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_f5547dd01f628131\” and copied it in to “C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color\” and tada, it’s working again.
Awesome, worked fine for me as well, thank you.
you saved my day
Wonderful !! worked beautifully !!
