I’m a large fan of Clementine and I’ve been using it to listen to Digitally Imported radio streams for a long time. Yesterday, I fired up and thought “Today I will have some Chillstep” and when I was confronted with a message telling me about licensing restrictions in the UK, I was irate.
So, UK isn’t allowed? Er, no, you will not tell me what I can and can’t access on the internet, thank you.
In Clementine, open up Settings, go to Network Proxy. Set it to Manual Proxy Configuration, HTTP Proxy type, IP: 216.218.133.217 on port 80.
If that proxy is down, grab one from http://www.xroxy.com/proxylist.php?port=&type=All_http&ssl=&country=US&latency=&reliability=#table
Apply, OK and then voila, enjoy your streaming music again.
thanks tried your proxy tip in XBMC but failed any other way
Hi Ian
I had the same issue today so I just used a different proxy. Grab one of the US ones from xroxy.com.
I’m currently using: 216.218.133.217 on port 80
If you open the stream:
http://pub4.di.fm/di_%5Bnameofstream%5D_aac
it should work, for example:
http://pub4.di.fm/di_psychill_aac
